Sun Belt Conference to use StatBroadcast at its 2014 Basketball Championships

NEW ORLEANS, LA. -- The Sun Belt Conference and StatBroadcast announced today that the two will partner to provide a full live stats experience to media and fans via multiple platforms for the 2014 Sun Belt Conference Basketball Championships this March. The agreement also includes the 2014 Sun Belt Baseball and Softball Tournaments later this spring.

The Sun Belt Conference is a Division I athletic conference that was began in 1976 and currently consists of 10 public universities distributed across Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Alabama and Georgia, and will add two more members next year. The Sun Belt merged with the American South conference in 1991 and began sponsoring football at the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) level in 2001.

The 2014 Sun Belt Conference Men's and Women's Basketball Championships will be held from March 12 to 16, 2014 at the New Orleans Lakefront Arena in Louisiana. The top eight teams in the conference standings of both men's and women's basketball will earn seeds in the respective tournaments and will each play in a single-elimination seven game tournament. The winners of the two tournaments will receive the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Basketball Tournament.

In addition to providing real-time feeds of the stats to media and staff covering the tournaments, StatBroadcast will provide a live stats feed via its web and mobile platform to Sun Belt fans for all 14 tournament games.
